Principal's Letter

March 23, 2004

Dear Parent,

Letters of this type help to remember and analyze the situations that happened to you, to reflect. There are many types of writing, for example, military essay which https://300writers.com/military-essay.html writes very well to understand the concept and meaning of this or that event.

Happy Spring! The signs of spring are beginning to break through the ground. Crocuses, daffodils and tulips are slowly making themselves known despite the snow that blanketed them. May we take and pause a few moments to silently give praise to our God of Creation for the beauty of the days growing warmer, the flowers, bushes and trees swelling with life, and for the gifts that come to us each day. We praise and give thanks, to you, O God of Creation.

Sacred Heart School is proud of eighth grade student, James Ward who represented us in the Patriot Ledger Spelling Bee. James reached the fifth round on March 20. David Gilligan, a seventh grade student, has been selected to compete in the National Geographic State Bee on April 2. Congratulations to both students, their teachers and parents for encouraging them to enjoy the honor that is theirs.

Our teachers are getting ready for our Art Festival which will be April 27. Grandparents and Friends will be invited to a private showing at 11:00 am and family members are invited to attend in the evening at 6:30 p.m. This is also the evening of the Ice Cream Social. It is one of the favorite times of the year for the students.

A sincere thank you to the families that are supporting our Spring Fundraiser. We have about a 50% return thus far. Please make your returns as soon as you can. If you know that you are unable to sell the allotted calendars that were given to your family, please return them as soon as possible. There are requests for calendars. Our goal is to sell the 3500 that we had printed.

Sacred Heart School faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and parishioners are working very hard on our self-study for reaccreditation. Thank you to all who have returned the parent surveys. These are important to the committees and they will be available to the Visiting Team at the time of the spring 2005 visit.

If you have not returned the re-registration form, please do so as soon as possible. We are getting ready to place book and supply orders. Also, you received a FACTS form from Mrs. Dooley that needs to be returned by April 23. You will be receiving the FACTS Grant and AID applications this week. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please follow the directions with the application. The documentation is very important and your application will not be processed until FACTS receives it. All information is kept confidential. The school receives only the report of a family's need.

There are a few dates to keep in mind for April through June. April 9-23 NO SCHOOL. Good Friday, NCEA Convention Week, and Spring Vacation April 9 Father Heery Memorial Walk for Por Cristo 9:30 am. April 27. Grandparents and Friends Day 11:00 a.m. and Art Festival and Ice Cream Social 6:30 p.m. May 26 Junior High Science Fair 6:30 p.m. and Concert 7:30 p.m. June 2 Grade 1-6 Concert 1:00 p.m.
